Waxing
What is it
A waxing method that uses hot or cold wax to remove hair from the roots, providing smooth skin for weeks. The wax is applied to the skin and, when removed, eliminates hair efficiently.

Indications
Hair removal on large areas of the body, such as legs, armpits, arms and intimate areas;
For those looking for long-lasting results and smooth skin;
Ideal for those with thick hair or in larger areas.
Benefits
Long-lasting results, with smooth skin for up to 4 weeks;
Removing hair at the root weakens growth, making it thinner over time;
Effective technique on large areas of skin;
Improves skin texture and helps remove dead cells.
Contraindications
People with very sensitive or irritated skin;
Injuries, inflammation or infections in the area to be waxed;
Not recommended during the menstrual period for those who are more sensitive to pain;
Pregnant women (in some situations, depending on the area to be waxed).
How is done
The wax is heated (if hot) and applied to the skin with a spatula. After the wax cools or sticks to the hair, a strip of fabric or the wax itself is quickly removed, removing the hair from the root.
Peridity
It depends on hair growth, usually 3 to 4 weeks.
Care
Waxing removes hair from the root, leaving the skin smooth and soft to the touch. However, because it causes traction on the skin, it can cause sensitivity, redness and small open pores, requiring special care to avoid folliculitis, blemishes and irritation.
Avoid getting the area wet for the first 4 hours, especially with hot water, as the heat can intensify the redness and increase the risk of irritation.
Do not apply deodorant (in the case of armpits), perfumes, creams with alcohol or acids to the waxed area for at least 24 hours, to avoid burning and darkening.
Avoid sun exposure for 48 hours, as the skin is more vulnerable and can stain easily.
Wear light clothing and avoid friction with synthetic fabrics for the first few hours to avoid clogging the newly opened pores.
Moisturize the skin with gentle and soothing lotions (such as chamomile or aloe vera), preferably without artificial fragrances.
Avoid exfoliating your skin for the first 3 days. After that, gentle weekly exfoliation can help prevent ingrown hairs.
Comments
Waxing can cause discomfort during the procedure, but the long-lasting results and smooth skin are worth it. Temporary redness may occur in the waxed area, which usually disappears within a few hours.
